Size Guide

We know how difficult it can be to choose the perfect shoe size for us, due to the wide selection of footwear these days and the differences resulting from the various practices of shoe manufacturers, it is very easy to get lost. The guide was created so that each of you can find a size that fits and does not have to worry about exchanging shoes or returning them altogether. Together with the team, we have analyzed hundreds of conversations with customers and drawn dozens of conclusions from them, which we want to share in this guide. Many patterns are repeatable, and we come to you with what we hope is the perfect solution to the eternal question "What size to choose?".

Insert length

When answering the question above, we always ask the customer about the length of their foot or insole. This is the basic determinant of what size we should choose and every manufacturer always provides the length for a given size in two places. The first is the shoe box on the attached label, and the second is the label itself in the shoes, which should be easy to find. However, it often happens that the label is worn out and the reading is poorly visible or impossible, which is why we recommend taking the insole out of the shoes and measuring it, for example, with a tailor's tape measure. However, we must bear in mind that over time the insole may deform and the measurement will not be reliable. The best way to measure your foot is to use a piece of paper and a marker to draw it and measure the furthest points from each other with a ruler or tape measure. We should add 0.5 cm to the result obtained, because the foot swells slightly during activity. Once we know what length of the insole we need, we can start looking for the size that corresponds to our result.

Size

There is no clear definition of what size we wear, this is due to the variety of sizes and how each one fits. The easiest way for us to match it to a given size from the table will be to know the length of the insole. As a rule, each subsequent shoe number will be 0.5 cm larger or smaller, depending on which side of the size chart we move. In this way, by checking very quickly, several different shoe models, we can determine that we have a different size everywhere, this is not always due to the choice of a different manufacturer, because even within one brand there can be differences. This results from the division into three types of shoes - men's, women's and children's, each of them has its own separate size, which does not mean that it is intended exclusively for a given group of recipients.

Everyone can wear whatever they like, the only limitation is the manufacturer's top-down imposition of the type, which in turn narrows down the potential target group. Children's shoes often end at size 40, and men's shoes start at this size (sometimes at 38.5). Women's shoes start at 36 and go up to 44.5. This is very important information, because this is the main reason for size differences. A women's model 39 may have an insole length of 25 cm, and a men's model in the same size of 24.5 cm. Sometimes a given size is also omitted, which is why, for example, New Balance has size 39.5, which Nike does not. This is a purely cosmetic procedure, because looking at the size chart, we do not have any gap in the increasing lengths of the insoles.
